Therapy in Care Homes

Bringing comfort and relaxation where most needed.

One of the aims of A Touch of Serenity is to bring treatments to people who often need them most but don’t have access to them. Working with older people in care homes, we provide 20 minute reflexology foot and/or hand massage treatments. Before treating any resident in the home, we consult the Matron/Nursing Manager to check on any contra-indications of each resident and adjust the treatment accordingly.

The benefits that a resident may receive from a treatment include:

Relief from aches and pains
Improved sleep
Relaxation and relief from stress and anxiety
Increased mobility, particularly in joints
Enjoyment of touch that can bring comfort, acceptance and inner peace

Depending on the number of residents, A Touch of Serenity can visit on a half day or full day basis, weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Please telephone or email for more information.
